The Austin girls hockey team started strong, but it faded out in a 10-4 loss to Rochester Century (8-6-1 overall, 7-3-1 Big Nine) in Riverside Arena Saturday.

The Packers (3-14 overall, 2-8 Big Nine) led 4-2 after the first period, but they couldn’t score again as the Panthers scored eight goals over the last two periods.

“We were a few kids short tonight and it really showed,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said.
