Rebel boys beat Wabasha-Kellogg
Published 3:56pm Sunday, January 27, 2013WABASHA — The Southland boys basketball team won with their all-time leading scorer on the sideline as they beat Wabasha-Kellogg 70-49 on the road Saturday.
Southland senior Mike Goergen was out with an injury, but Luke Anderson, who had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Nick Schmitz, who had 20 points, picked up the slack.
“The kids did a lot well and it was a good win,” Southland head coach Jon Thalberg said.
The Rebels will now have a nine-day break in their schedule.
