LAKE CRYSTAL – Austin junior Mitch Tebay won his first career tournament championship and the Packers took fourth place at the 10-team Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Invite Saturday.

All nine of Austin’s wrestlers placed in the top six of their weight class and the Packers tallied 14 pins in 21 wins.

“The was far and away our best day of wrestling this season,” Austin head coach Bill Kinney said. “The three teams that placed ahead of us have all been ranked at one time or another this season, and the weight classes had numerous state qualifiers and place winners.”

Tebay won the 170-pound title by getting a pin in the semifinals and winning 4-2 in the finals.

Austin’s Devon Felten took second at 138, Brennen Russell took third at 126, Brandon Cotter took fourth at 145, Nathan Brinkman took fifth at 132, Kole Igou took fifth at 160, Logan Hotek picked up his first two varsity wins and took fifth at 285, Aiden Wilson took sixth at 106 and Riley Grinstead took sixth at 152.
