- It’s always emotional when troops return home during times of conflict, but for First Lieutenant Dustin McCormick of St. Cloud it was even more special. He got to meet his baby girl, two-week-old Piper McCormick, for the first time at the Austin National Guard Armory in May. 2. Thirty National Guard soldiers returned home from serving in Operation New Dawn.
From a couple getting married in a cemetery to soldier seeing his baby daughter for the first time to a big year for area sports, 2012 had plenty of opportunities to shoot amazing moments.
