Two men are in the Mower County jail after a police search allegedly uncovered nearly 8 pounds of marijuana in their home.

Mick James Carranza, 25, and Adam Lee Abben, 26, both of Austin, were charged Wednesday in Mower County Court with felony fifth-degree drug sale. Police executed a search warrant at the home and saw Abben driving away. According to the court complaint, they stopped Abben and took him back to the home where they found 8 pounds of weed in a bedroom with Carranza. The report adds police also found a digital scale and a food sealer. The estimated street value of the marijuana is $1,860, according to the complaint.

Both suspects are scheduled for their next court appearances on Jan. 3, 2013.
