Marilyn A. Lipke, 62, of Austin, Minn., died at her home on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.
Marilyn was born Oct. 20, 1950, in Minneapolis to Helmuth and Lorraine Lipke. Marilyn was a hard worker with Cedar Valley Services, where she was most recently working on the pepperoni contract. She enjoyed the staff and her housemates at Elmwood. Marilyn was known to go from being cantankerous to quickly being the life of the party. She loved coffee and loved to color. Her favorite time of the year was from her birthday to Christmas as she enjoyed all of the holidays in between. Marilyn seemed to have a song for every occasion, including a coffee break song and “Happy Toes” for when she was happy. She also loved polka, especially “In Heaven There is No Beer.”
She is survived by her housemates and co-workers.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Monson officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary and on Saturday for one hour before the service.
