Felony assault charges may be coming against one Austin man after a neighbor found a woman out in the snow, cold and beaten on Sunday morning.

Police responded to the call at about 7 a.m. Sunday after the neighbor found the 43-year-old woman yelling for help in the 100 block of Second Avenue SE. According to the police report, the woman suffered bruises to her hand, cheek, jaw, knees and legs and had other abrasions, as well.

“It looked like she had been out in the cold for a while,” added Police Capt. Dave McKichan.
