Packer dance team performs well in Lakeville

The Austin Packer dance team placed second in the high kick and eighth in the jazz at the 17-team Lakeville North Invite Saturday.
Austin is an ‘AA’ team, but it went up against 14 ‘AAA’ teams at the invite.
It was great to know that we could go into a field of AAA teams and come out in second place,” Austin head coach Jen Sims said. “It’s a great confidence boost for the team. In jazz, our goal was simply to get it on the floor and in front of judges. The girls surpassed our expectations, after just finishing the routine they performed with so much poise and confidence.”
