Letter to the Editor

I am writing this in regard to the naming of the new intermediate school. I and others would like to see the people and School Board reconsider naming the new school. I and others would like to have the new school named Maria Vaughn Intermediate School as she was the first teacher in our community. She was 15 when she started teaching in 1855 and I think that this is appropriate as she was the first teacher here. We already have an auditorium named after a CEO from Hormel and also a street.
