Nobody was injured, but several peacocks and more than $100,000 worth of property were destroyed in a barn fire Saturday near Lyle.

Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi said Lyle and Rose Creek fire departments responded to the blaze at about 5 p.m. Saturday at 13474 560th Avenue. The barn, owned by Teddy Conradt, was destroyed, along with many carpentry and plumbing tools and some peacocks. The 50-by-50-foot barn along with contents was valued at more than $130,000.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
