Several teenagers are at the center of what authorities believe was an armed robbery over a large amount of marijuana.

Austin police officers arrested a 17-year-old on Tuesday and an 18-year-old Wednesday morning who are both suspects in the case. Eighteen-year-old Willister Davenport Jr., among others, was charged Friday with first-degree aggravated robbery. Authorities did not release the names of the 17-year-olds.

Officers arrested one 17-year-old suspect at Austin High School on Nov. 27 after a student victim told authorities about the armed robbery. While suspects in the case told different stories, they mentioned being at a house on Nov. 17 and robbing teenage victims for weed. One suspect admitted to being involved in the robbery but said he backed out at the last minute. He also mentioned roughly one pound of weed was stolen.

A victim claims Davenport pointed a gun, reportedly a .22 caliber revolver, and ordered him to the floor before taking the weed. Davenport allegedly admitted he was involved but said a different 17-year-old suspect pointed the gun. One suspect reported that a woman took the weed and gave it back to the victims and told another person to throw the gun in the Cedar River. Authorities recovered a .22 revolver from the Cedar River on North Main Street on Nov. 28.

The report does not add if authorities recovered any weed, and it’s unclear if charges will be brought against the woman in the case.

Davenport’s next court appearance is Dec. 13.
