Alleged assailant threatened mother with knife

Austin police arrested a woman Sunday after she allegedly assaulted her mother.

The officer went to the 300 block of 12th Street SW in Austin after the 24-year-old assailant allegedly held a knife to her mother.

According to the police report, the suspect was upset that her mother would not give her money to go back to Tennessee. The mother was not hurt. The alleged assailant was arrested for second- and fifth-degree assault and terroristic threats.
