First Congregational honors its veterans

Each of the veterans at First Congregational UCC Church were honored with a quilt last Sunday on Veterans Day. The 22 veterans, one woman and 21 men, represented Army, Navy, Air Force and National Guard.

The Women’s Fellowship began making Quilts of Valor in 2006 and recently reached the 500 mark. The Fellowship recently purchased a long-arm quilting machine, which will facilitate finishing the quilts.
