NFL Picks: Keep an eye on Tampa BayPublished 10:49am Thursday, November 8, 2012
Here are the picks:incredible
Indianapolis at Jacksonville
It’s hard to believe all the Colts had to was draft Andrew Luck and they went from being the worst team in the NFL to being a playoff contender.
Luck is actually off to a better start to his NFL career than Peyton Manning and the Colts are playing inspired football.
COLTS 27, JAGUARS 10
N.Y. Giants at Cincinnati
The Giants are a tough road team and the Bengals are starting to fade out.
GIANTS 34, BENGALS 17
Tennessee at Miami
The Titans should be ashamed of the way they played against the Bears. No NFL team should ever trail 28-2 after one quarter.
DOLPHINS 24, TITANS 14
Detroit at Minnesota
The Lions aren’t the force they were last year, so this is a chance for the Vikings to get back on track. I’ve also heard a couple of Viking fans calling for Joe Webb at quarterback this week, so that can’t be good.
VIKINGS 31, LIONS 28
Buffalo at New England
The Patriots are coming off a bye week and the Bills have played like they’ve been on their bye week for most of the season.
PATRIOTS 41, BILLS 10
Atlanta at New Orleans
The Saints defense just isn’t good. The Falcons are very good.
FALCONS 38, SAINTS 21
San Diego at Tampa Bay
Remember in 2010, when the Packers barely beat out the Bucs for the Wild Card and went on to win the Super Bowl? Then 2011 happened and Josh Freeman regressed as the Bucs slipped up and fell to the bottom of the standings.
Well, Freeman’s starting to put up big games again and the Bucs’ offense is piling on points over the past few weeks.
It’ll be interesting to see what this team does the rest of the season.
BUCS 41, CHARGERS 34
Denver at Carolina
The Broncos should be able to handle the shaky Panthers.
BRONCOS 27, PANTHERS 10
Oakland at Baltimore
The Raiders can just never put it all together.
RAVENS 28, RAIDERS 20
N.Y. Jets at Seattle
Not even Tim Tebow can save the Jets this year. They just don’t have enough weapons and losing Darrelle Revis for the season was a crushing blow.
SEAHAWKS 23, JETS 3
Dallas at Philadelphia
Neither of these teams are that relevant at 3-5, but the media sure does like to talk about them.
EAGLES 10, COWBOYS 9
St. Louis at San Francisco
The 49ers should take care of business at home.
49ERS 31, RAMS 20
Houston at Chicago
The Texans have cleaned up on the AFC, but they were destroyed in their lone matchup with an NFC team (Green Bay). Maybe the AFC is just weaker this year.
BEARS 34, TEXANS 20
Kansas City at Pittsburgh
Steelers are coming off a big win in New York against the Giants and they may be hitting their stride.
STEELERS 21, CHIEFS 10
Last week: 10-4; overall: 79-51
