Victoria Larson banked in a three-quarters court shot to give the Riverland women’s basketball team a last-second win over NIACC 65-64 in Riverland Gym Wednesday.

Larson took the in-bounds pass with four seconds left and launched a one-handed heave as time was running out from her own backcourt on the game-winner. Larson, a freshman from Bangor, Wis., finished with 14 points and four rebounds, while hitting 4-of-6 from downtown.

“We’ve got a lot of fight in this team,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “It was close all the way and we kept battling.”
