The Welcome Center is getting out the vote.

The Welcome Center, at 316 North Main St. in Austin, is hosting a voter registration event from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Volunteers will be there to assist people in completing the voter registration application for the Nov. 6 election.

Oct. 16 is the deadline for registration prior to the election. After the deadline, individuals will be able to register on Election Day at their polling location.
