An Austin resident is missing a small refrigerator after someone broke into his garage this week.

Police responded to a burglary call at the 1100 block of Fourth Avenue SW at about 12:52 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.

The victim told police someone broke into his garage between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 12:20 a.m. Wednesday and stole an air compressor with an attached hose and a small fridge. The victim told police his garage was unlocked at the time, according to Krueger.

Police found the air compressor in the bushes in a nearby alley, but have yet to locate the refrigerator. Krueger said the air compressor appeared undamaged and was returned to the victim.
