Following his diagnosis, Jon continued to live his life with a goal of making this world a better place for everyone. With hopes for a cure for his own cancer and his sights set on helping the medical community develop a drug that would possibly cure many forms of cancer, Jon agreed to enter into a phase one drug trial with Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Jon will be remembered forever as a great dad and wonderful husband. We will forever miss Jon’s great sense of humor and his loving touch. Jon was an avid sportsman who enjoyed many outdoor activities, but most of all he enjoyed coaching and spending time playing ball with his four young boys. Jon was employed by Hormel for 13 years and also served as a volunteer on the Hayfield Fire Department where he proudly served his community.
