Mower County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for suspects after someone allegedly stole thousands of dollars’ worth of tools from a construction trailer in Grand Meadow this week.

Someone reported a theft occurring sometime between 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, and 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, from a trailer at the 71600 block of Highway 16 west of Grand Meadow, according to Sheriff Terese Amazi.

The victim told police he discovered someone broke into the trailer by cutting off a padlock. Amazi said the victim is getting a list of all the tools stolen from the construction trailer but she expects the lost property to be worth thousands of dollars.
