Dorothy E. Ruble, 90, of Austin, Minn., died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her home.

Dorothy was born March 16, 1922, in Lincoln, Minn., to Frank and Alma (Biermaier) Pogreba. She grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Staples High School. On Jan. 15, 1944, she married Myles Ruble of Austin in St. Paul, where Myles was stationed in the Army at Fort Snelling. The couple relocated back to Austin after the service.

Dorothy enjoyed square dancing, fishing and especially every family gathering shared with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Myles Ruble, Austin; son, Douglas Ruble, Austin; daughters, Joan Parody, Orlando, Fla., Deanna Weis, Austin, Mary Lynn (Mike) Flaherty, Austin; grandchildren, Bob Ruble, Austin, Jim Ruble, Austin, Kelly (Jeff) Ruble, Austin, A.J. Sudbury, Orlando, Fla., Nick Parody, Orlando, Fla., John (Kim) Weis, Bismarck, N.D., Deidre (Randy) Smith, Austin, Sarah Weis, Austin, Angie (Dustin) Weber, Nicollet, Minn., Mike (Becky) Flaherty, Fairmont, Minn., Ashley Flaherty, Austin, Mariel Flaherty, Austin; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister and brother-in-law, Delores (Joe) Luke, Browerville, Minn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Alma Pogreba; three sisters, Florence, Kathryn, Margaret; one brother, Bob Pogreba; son-in-law, Daniel Weis.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Raul Silva officiating. There will be a 3 p.m. CCW rosary and a 4:30 p.m. wake service on Sunday at Mayer Funeral Home, where friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and also one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
