Published 5:25pm Saturday, October 27, 2012

This week we have a special class for you.

Chef Howie from Hormel will be at the senior center demonstrating how to make stuffed squash at 2 p.m., Thursday. As he shows us how he makes it, we will be delivering food for all. This dish has meat and vegetables in it and can be prepared a day ahead or make it and eat it.

To sign up for this fun class stop by the front desk or call 433-2370 ext 0. There is a $5 charge for members  and $7 for non-members See you there.

He will also be talking about food co-operatives, often simply called co-ops. They are voluntary organizations owned and controlled by members to provide low cost, healthy food primarily to members of the co-op, though some also sell to the public.

See you Thursday for this fun class. You are always welcome at the Senior Center.
