Bruins knock off Brookings

The Austin Bruins moved into first place in the NAHL Central Division when they beat Brookings (6-3 overall) 3-2 on the road Friday.

John Simonson scored a powerplay goal to put the Bruins (6-2 overall) up 3-1 in the third period and Brookings didn’t score again until Mitch Ranum scored with 16 seconds left.

Jason Pawloski had 30 saves in net for the Bruins to pick up his second win of the season.
