Voter machine test open to the publicPublished 11:02am Tuesday, October 30, 2012
A public accuracy test of the city’s electronic voting equipment will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Council Chambers at the Austin Municipal Building.
Austin residents can attend to watch as city officials check the voting tabulation machines to ensure they are working correctly and counting properly. The city will check election cards from all six precincts for accuracy to ensure none of them is misrepresenting test votes.
The whole process is expected to last until 8:30 p.m.
