Counterfeit bill may have come from Amish family

The Austin Police Department is investigating a counterfeit bill case after a clerk at ALDI Foods in Austin received a fake $20.
An employee called authorities on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. about the fake bill. Authorities spoke to the 66-year-old Austin man who passed the bill and learned that he may have received the bill from an Amish family. According to the police report, the man said the Amish family gives him cash to purchase groceries.
