Woman is found dead behind St. Paul church

ST. PAUL, Minn. — A woman is dead after a shooting behind a St. Paul church.
Police spokesman Howie Padilla says officers responded to a report of shots fired at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday and found the woman dead in a vehicle in an alley behind Iglesia de Dios Rios de Agua Viva.
The woman was about 20 years old and has been preliminarily identified. The Ramsey County medical examiner is expected to do an autopsy.
Churchgoers were arriving for a service as officers were still on scene.
Church member Alfonso Salguero said there have been a few issues in the neighborhood, but no serious crimes.
The death is 14th homicide in St. Paul this year.
