Hunters blast birds to fight breast cancerPublished 5:16am Friday, October 5, 2012
Local bird hunters will look to shoot down more than just pheasants this weekend. They’re also aiming at breast cancer.
Tri County Pheasants Forever is hosting a breast cancer awareness hunt on Three Arrows Hunting Preserve on Saturday, Oct. 6. Participants do not need a hunting license. Registration is $200 per couple; which must include at least one female. Each registrant will receive a T-shirt, lunch and bird cleaning.
Participants must wear blaze orange and may bring their own dogs; otherwise, dogs will be provided with a guide.
To register, go to www.tricountymnpf.com or call Three Arrows Preserve at 507-324-5558. Available hunting times are 8-10 a.m., 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., 1:30-3:30 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. All proceeds go to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure Minnesota.
