I think I read “Disturbing the Peace.” If I did it was a long time ago. I miss him and the first book he wrote from prison then later listening to him speak in the Cities when I was able to photograph him for the Herald. That’s if I remember right.

Last Tuesday was a beautiful day. Mello spent much of the day in the backyard watching the brick fence hoping to capture one of those little chipmunks that chose to scitter across the brick wall. Perhaps with Mello watching almost constantly the little critters chose not to make a pass on it except for when we go in the house for a break. Even in the house Mello is glancing off the porch for the bushes. In the meantime Fred naps below him.

We’ve had to ground Ptolme, our eldest cat from going outside; he was finding ways to get outside the fencing. I’m guessing he has some interest in another cat that houses across the neighboring driveway.

As for other news there is too much to read and then there is the information that is accessible to the public in a variety of ways. They are what I would refer to as “hi-tech.” I believe I may be the only person with a landline.

I prefer to sit out in the backyard with two or three books and on occasion sit down with “You Much Crazy” again. I’ve been invited to attend a church group of women to discuss the book in October.

Last Sunday at church I ran into a former classmate, and she was interested in acquiring the book. She stopped by with her parents and significant other to pick up the book as I was cleaning the porch.

I try not to listen to the news.
