GRAND MEADOW — Grand Meadow quarterback Trenton Bleifus threw for a career-high 254 yards as the Superlarks came back from a slow start to beat Glenville-Emmons 41-6 in GM Friday.

The Wolverines (1-2 overall, 1-2 SEC) trailed just 7-0 with just under three minutes left in the half, but Bleifus threw a pair of TDs before the half to put his team up 21-0.

“It was huge,” GM head coach Gary Sloan said. “We weren’t playing well and Glenville was. I give them a lot of credit. I was happy to get one touchdown at the end of the half and we ended up getting two.”

GM was playing without one of its top threats in senior running back Perry Stejskal, who may miss the rest of the regular season with an injury. The Larks have turned to Cameron Gomer, who piled up three touchdowns Friday and now has eight on the season.

“Gomer has really stepped up,” Sloan said. “He’s beginning to be the go to guy for us.”
