Blooming Prairie senior Michael Thomas had the best game of his career as he tied a school record of 11 catches while breaking a school record of 247 receiving yards against Mankato Loyola Friday. Thomas’s 247 yards are the sixth most yards in a game in MSHSL history, according to the Minnesota Football Coaches Association. Thomas, who caught three TDs Friday, had two of his scores in the fourth quarter of a comeback 27-21 win over Loyola. Thomas has a total of 36 catches, 714 yards and 12 touchdowns in five games this season.
