Rebels sweep PEM

ADAMS – The Southland volleyball team was solid throughout as it swept Plainview-Elgin-Millville (2-7 overall) by scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-17 in Adams Tuesday.

Elizabeth May had 13 assists, nine digs and eight kills for the Rebels (4-11 overall) and Jana Schammel added nine kills and seven ace serves.

“Tonight was an emotional night,” Southland head coach Angie Smith said. “It was nice to see the girls pull together and play hard. Even better than our playing was the fan support. It was so nice to look and see a full crowd all wearing blue.”
