Hounds fall to Northfield Knights

NORTHFIELD — The Austin Greyhounds couldn’t hold on as they lost to the Northfield Knights 4-2 on the road Wednesday.

The Knights took scored two runs in the eighth inning to take the lead for good as Austin (9-11 overall) finished with nine hits, but scored just twice.

“They were pesky and the heat got to us,” Hounds manager John Frein said. “We just ran out of gas.”
