Austin man pleads guilty to criminal sexual conduct

An Austin man who pleaded not guilty to six criminal sexual conduct charges on May 10 changed his plea Wednesday in Mower County Court.

Erasmo Ubaldo Marcos, 42, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct as part of a plea agreement.

His wife, Angela Kay Ubaldo, 33, pleaded not guilty on May 10 to two counts of aiding an offender, both felonies. She was not scheduled in court on Wednesday. According to court complaints, Ubaldo notified Marcos that police were going to arrest him in regards to the criminal sexual conduct, which allegedly happened several times during the past year.

Bail for Marcos was set at $500,000. He faces a pre-trial on July 13 and goes to trial July 23. Ubaldo was released on $125,000 bail and faces a pre-trial July 13, with a jury trial July 23.
