Dylan returning to RochesterPublished 4:00pm Saturday, June 30, 2012
“I try to harmonize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings.” — Bob Dylan
I read somewhere Dylan’s coming to Rochester.
I can’t remember when. There must still be some among you who remember.
His last performance was some time ago. That was at the baseball field. Bruce Heiny and I traveled to that one. I think this upcoming one is indoors.
In other news I now have my very own CD that Mongo, my nephew put together while we spent time in Florida. It’s titled “Uncle Bob on the Sante Fe.” That’s the river we traveled down a few miles and back. Eric’s buddies assisted and Danny supplied the transportation.
I’ve recently dispatched a few copies of “You Much Crazy,” now available for purchase.
I don’t have a cell phone but I do have a land line if you’re interested. Call 433-5867.
Eric my nephew suggested I consider the next book to be “Total Recall” poking at my ability to not remember. Well, his day will come, too. And, of course, Eric was able to do everything imaginable with his cell phone he carries around.
Another highlight of that trip was the engine smell in his eight-year-old pickup. Eric thought it could be a bad belt or something like that. We finally stopped by his neighborhood garage to check it out. They put it up on the rack and looked under it, and low and behold there was his crunched flashlight that had dropped down and got stuck in there.
They pulled it loose and laughed, and we were on are way.
Now I’m back home with the barking boys, Mellow and Fred. They manage to let people walking by know they are not welcome. The skate borders bring out the biggest barks or someone walking a dog or a bike rider passing by.
Another interesting piece of reading was regarding the information charged against Edith Morey way back when. I’m almost through it. The gentleman who provided the information last week told me over coffee at the clinic it was pretty much one-sided information.
