Katy Bordwell and Scott Simmons of Austin are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Parents of the couple are Richard and Janet Bordwell and Pam Simmons-Bailey and Dennis Simmons, all of Clarion, Iowa.
Katy is a 2004 graduate of Clarion-Goldfield High School and a 2008 graduate of Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, Iowa, with a degree in accounting. She is employed as a CPA with Clifton Larson Allen in Austin.
Scott is a 2003 graduate of Clarion-Goldfield High School and a 2008 graduate of Buena Vista University with a degree in exercise science.
He is employed as the member experience director at the YMCA in Austin.
The couple will be married Aug. 18, 2012, in Austin.
