SAINT CHARLES — The Southland baseball team scored seven runs in the top of the sixth inning to beat St. Charles (8-11 overall) on the road Thursday.

Decker Bendtsen picked up the win on three days rest as he struck out seven for the Rebels (10-9 overall, 10-9 Three Rivers).

“Decker pitched pretty well and it was nice to see them hang in there and pluck away,” Southland head coach Scott Retterath said. “We picked up a good win against a quality team.”
