LeOnora M. Kirchdoerfer, 98, formerly of Austin, passed away on Feb. 14, 2012.

She was born in Stanwood, Wash., on March 14, 1913. She spent most of her childhood in Irene and Yankton, S.D. She graduated from Augustana College and taught school in South Dakota and Minnesota for several years. She married Woldemar Kirchdoerfer on July 30, 1939. She was an active member and leader in many clubs and service organizations in Austin for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her children, Marguerite (Ted) and Richard (Jeanne), five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Visitation with no reviewal will be one half hour before the service. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the St. Olaf Lutheran Church Education Fund, 301 First St NW, Austin, MN 55912.
