Hayfield’s Wilson shines for Wartburg on senior day

Hayfield grad Leslie Wilson tied a career-high with 25 points for the Wartburg women’s basketball team as the Knights (17-6 overall, 10-4 IIAC) beat Loras College 55-52 in overtime on senior day at Wartburg Saturday.

Wilson, who is a a senior, hit 8-of-12 from the field, grabbed nine rebounds and had two steals in the win.

Wilson leads Wartburg with 11.8 points per game and has averaged six rebounds per game this season.
