Packer boys knock off Century

The Austin boys basketball team knocked off Rochester Century (9-3 overall, 5-2 Big Nine) 59-52 in Rochester Friday.

The Panthers held a 37-19 advantage on the boards, but the Packers (8-2 overall, 5-1 Big Nine) hit 53 percent of their field goals and forced 23 turnovers.

β€œIn the second half we did a good job of spreading them out and we got good shots,” Austin head coach Kris Fadness said.

Joe Aase scored 18 points for Austin, which led by as many as 15 in the second half, and Tom Aase added 15 points.
