Katie Johnson, daughter of Sandra and Royal Johnson of Hayfield, and Derek Skillman, son of Maureen Messerli and Chris Skillman of Mankato, are proud to announce their marriage.

Katie is a 2001 Hayfield High School graduate and majoring as a cardiovascular invasive surgical specialist at RCTC. She will graduate in 2013.

Derek is a 1991 North Mankato High School graduate and a 1997 graduate of Mankato State in corrections and sociology. He works for the state of Minnesota.

Proud grandparents include Louise and William Eich, Pearl and Ingvald Johnson, Sally and Newton Skillman and Ann and Nicholas Colin.

Katie and Derek married Oct. 8, 2011, at St. Francis of Assisi in Rochester. They will reside in Kasson.
