FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A man sentenced to life in prison for stabbing another man to death after a fight in Fargo four years ago is trying a new route to get his conviction overturned.

The North Dakota Supreme Court last year upheld the murder conviction of Elijah Addai (AH’-day) in the August 2007 killing of 23-year-old David Delonais (dih’-LOH-nuhs) of Moorhead, Minn.

The Forum newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/oNLJav ) that Addai’s attorney has now filed a post-conviction relief lawsuit, asking either for a new trial or new DNA tests. The 27-year-old Addai has claimed another man killed Delonais.
