Darol and Sandra Heard of Austin, Minn., along with Ronald and Marcia Hulshizer of St.Ansgar, Iowa, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Katie Heard and Ryan Hulshizer.

They will be married on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin. Dinner and reception will follow at Carpenter Community Center in Carpenter, Iowa.

Katie is a graduate of Austin High School and Riverland Community College, and currently a student of Minnesota State University in Mankato in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. She is employed by Mayo Health Systems in Austin as a registered nurse.

Ryan is a graduate of St.Ansgar High School and Luther College and a current student of the American College, pursuing the certified financial planner designation. He is employed by Farm Bureau Financial Services in Northwood, Iowa.

The couple is registered at Target, PamperedChef.com and Kohls.
