Albert and Shirley Smith will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 26, 2011, at St. John’s in Johnsburg, Minn., with a 10:30 a.m. mass, followed by an open house in the parish hall until 4 p.m. No gifts, please.

Albert Smith and Shirley Adams were married at Sacred Heart Church, Meyer, Iowa, on June 27, 1961. They have seven children, Deb (Gordy) Wenum, Janet Smith, Kathy (Ron) Heimer, Ed Smith, Andy (Angie) Smith, Matt (Jen) Smith, and Janet (Arik) Johnson and 22 grandchildren.
