Stephens sets three-point record in Hayfield loss

The Hayfield boys basketball team lost its regular season finale to Lake City (13-10 overall) 63-57 in Hayfield Thursday.

The Vikings (15-10 overall) fell down 21-13 to start the game and couldn’t get any closer than three the rest of the way.

“They were big and they killed us on the boards,” Hayfield head coach Chris Pack said.

On a good note, Hayfield junior Bobbie Stephens broke the school record for three-pointers in a season when he drilled four from downtown. David Johnson had the old record with 90 in a season.
