Congressman visiting Austin
Published 9:56am Wednesday, February 23, 2011Local veterans who want to put in their two cents on federal veterans programs will have the chance to do just that on Thursday.
Democratic Congressman Tim Walz will be holding a veterans round table discussion at VFW Post 1216 at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon to hear local perspectives on Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense programs.
Walz has said he wants to protect veterans even during the tough budget cycle in which the country has found itself.
The discussion with Walz will begin at 2 p.m. and is scheduled to last until 3:30 p.m. The VFW is located at 300 4th Ave. NE in Austin.

Walz just voted against the $60 billion spending reduction bill in the house. Nancy Pelosi told him to vote against it and he does everything she asks. More spending when the government is virtually bankrupt is what Walz stands for. Walz represents an additional vote for Pelosi’s district and doesn’t represent southern Minnesota.

Well, Austinalum, that’s about as easy as me saying that Fox news told you that Tim Walz does everything that Nancy Pelosi tells him to. The difference being, now you have an opportunity to ask Rep. Walz directly why he voted against it. Will you do it? Will you actually participate in the process? Or will you just sit back and form your opinions based on nonsense?

And by the way, which district exactly is Pelosi’s?
