Crossroads tops RCC soccer team

The Riverland Community College men’s soccer team lost to Crossroad’s College 5-1 in Austin Thursday.

The Blue Devils (0-2 overall) trailed 2-0 at the half and they were missing their starting goalie, who was suspended from the last game.

“The score doesn’t reflect the way played today. We played better soccer; we had more possession, we were attacking more but we couldn’t finish it,” RCC head coach Soner Dogan said. “ Crossroad college scored whenever they came to the our end of the field. That’s the way soccer is sometime. The better team doesn’t always get to win.”
